In April 2009 a seed was planted when it was decided to create an event that would celebrate and showcase the unique culture and community of the Dandenong Ranges and our commitment to the environment, to living sustainably and to creating a better future for our children and future generations. 

The Living it Now! Sustainable Lifestyle Festival is the first event of its kind in the Dandenong Ranges and is scheduled to run as an annual event focusing on all areas of sustainable living. The Festival aims to empower everyday people to improve the sustainability of our homes, communities and businesses and to maintain and enhance our local natural environment. 

There will be a diverse range of talks, presentations, demonstrations and workshop programs, over 100 exhibitors and children’s activities for all ages and abilities. The 2009 Living it Now! Sustainable Lifestyle Festival will be held on Sunday 8th November. It promises to be an exciting and inspiring weekend.  

This Festival has been created to celebrate and showcase the unique community of the Dandenong Ranges and our commitment to the environment, to living sustainably and to creating a better future. 

We are proud to be Living it Now! and we want to show others how this can be achieved. We need your help to create this inaugural Festival which draws together a variety of local Community Groups, businesses and individuals for the common goal of promoting a sustainable future.
