Better Bays and Waterways Plan

http://www.epa.vic.gov.au/water/coasts/betterbays.asp This program was formerly called the Port Phillip and Western Port Water Quality Improvement Plan and was one of the action under the Yarra River Action Plan. The EPA website describes the program "aims to improve water quality in the region’s bays, rivers, creeks and estuaries. It is a partnership at the local, regional, state and national level" And recognises that "The health of these bays and waterways can be directly linked to human activities. As the population of Melbourne and surrounding areas continues to grow, the difficulty of protecting water quality increases." There are some interesting presentations on the web page. I have recently written to the EPA asking how UYDEC can become involved. Stay tuned, I will report back here once i have a reply. JT HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
