Shire of Yarra Ranges Electoral Representation Review
Submitted by President on Mon, 10/03/2008 - 11:02.
The Victorian Electorial Commission conducted a review that examined:
- what is an appropriate number of councillors for the municipality;
- whether the municipality should have wards or be unsubdivided; and
- if the municipality is to have wards, how many wards there should be, the number of councillors per ward and the ward boundaries.
Reviews are conducted prior to every second council election.
The final report issued by the VEC concluded that the current representational model is adequate.
